About Us:
Sylvester & Company is a professional accounting firm that provides tax preparation, bookkeeping and payroll reporting services to small business and individual clients.

Sylvester & Company provides services to approximately 100 and 400 business and individual clients, respectively.  Most clients are located in Michigan in the areas surrounding Ann Arbor, Dexter, Chelsea and Pinckney.  Our clients cover a variety of industries including construction, real estate development, property management, light manufacturing, retail and professional services.

Generally, our clients invest in our services to minimize their costs, to manage risk and to enhance credibility with others who are privy to their financial information. 

Cost:
Our clients use our services because the cost of our services is less than the costs our clients would incur to do the work themselves, in terms of time, cash expense and lost business and investment opportunities. 

Risk management:
The US system of taxation is ridiculously complex.  Given the sheer volume of tax regulations, anybody who does not deal the intricacies of the tax regulations would have a very difficult time determining with any certainty the tax implications of a transaction or the accuracy of a tax return.

Credibility:
Our expertise in accounting and taxation also provides our clients with credibility when presenting financial information to banks and other interested parties.

The firm currently employs three professionals dedicated to tax preparation and planning, and two employees dedicated to bookkeeping and payroll reporting services.
